FAQ – Laundry

Why won’t my appliance spin?

One reason that your appliance will not spin is if it is unable to drain. Have you tried checking and cleaning the filter? Removing debris from the filter may help your appliance to work properly.

If the filter is not blocked, is the hose blocked or kinked? If it is then remove the blockage or straighten the hose to fix the problem.

The appliance will not spin if the load is unbalanced and will just tumble back and forth. This typically happens if you have a mixed load, for example bed sheets and towels being washed together. Try redistributing the load or removing some items.

The ‘spin explained’ section on our buying advice page provides a detailed explanation of how it works.
